Notable Events
Indiana (2014-15): In 2015, the state administered a new ELA assessment based on updated college- and career-ready 2014 Indiana Academic Standards. Although the assessment name did not change, results are not comparable to prior years.
Indiana (2018-19): In 2019, the state administered a new ELA assessment, the ILEARN. Results are not comparable to prior years.
Minnesota (1997-98): In 1998, the state administered a new ELA assessment, the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA). Results are not comparable to prior years.
Minnesota (2005-06): In 2006, the state administered a new ELA assessment aligned to the 2003 Minnesota Academic Standards, Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment II (MCA-II). Results are not comparable to prior years.
Minnesota (2012-13): In 2013, the state administered a new ELA assessment aligned to the 2010 Minnesota Academic Standards, Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment III (MCA-III). Results are not comparable to prior years.
Minnesota (2018-19): In 2019, the state began to report outcomes that aggregate results for the regular and alternate assessments. Comparisons to prior years should be made with caution.
